How it works

The BIBO block is a unique compact micro filter that uses high performance SILIPHOS spheres. With just a simple installation on to your main water line, the BIBO block ensures that the right conditions are met to inhibit scale and chalk build up in your entire water system.

Scale and chalk build up occurs from minerals within the water content. They can cause premature wear and tear to your entire water system. Preventing scale and chalk build up has numerous benefits including:

What method of payment can I use?

How do I know if I need a BIBO block?

While some areas of our country are more affected than others, water can still contain an element of hard water. If you have experienced any corrosion, premature wear and tear or blockage in your water system, due to chalk and scale, the BIBO block is for you. The BIBO block came about as an answer to our customers’ requests to solve the hard water problems they were experiencing. It has since been tried, tested and proven.

How do I know which BIBO block is for me?

The BIBO block brings you the alpha, for high volume water consumption, and the mini for places with limited space and small volume consumption. The number of people living in your home or building, the amount of water used and the space available for the installation are what you need to consider before choosing which BIBO block to go with. Generally, the BIBO block alpha is suitable for more than five people using the water system, while the BIBO block mini caters to 5 or less people.

How often do I need to change the BIBO block alpha’s filter cartridge?

Replace the filter cartridge for the BIBO block alpha every 6 months or after a flow of 125,000 liters.

How often do I need to change the BIBO block mini’s filter cartridge?

Replace filter cartridge for the BIBO block alpha every 3 months or after a flow of 60,000 liters.

Which replacement filter cartridge do I need for the BIBO block alpha?

The BIBO block alpha requires the 550g filter cartridge replacement.

The BIBO bar plumbs into your main water line so the answer is: unlimited. The BIBO bar will produce 3-4 mugs of boiling water instantly. Thereafter one would have to wait a minute for the next load of water to reboil before being able to dispense another 3-4 mugs of boiling water. With regard to chilled water, the BIBO bar will produce 1.5 liters instantly. Thereafter it takes a couple of minutes to get the next 1.5 liters chilled. However, if you’re not too keen to wait, the water will still dispense – just not at your preferred temperature.
