Fizzle the flu away

Long nights, short days, boiling cups and nights in – winter is here, and so is flu season. But that’s no reason to dull your sparkle. While we’re staying snug at home, we can still celebrate the chill with a burst of bubbles and a boost of immunity.  Here are BIBO’s five favourite fizzy winter drink recipes full of the good stuff to keep those nasty bugs at bay.

• • Ingredients: Orange juice, lemon juice, honey, sparkling water.
  • Method: Mix the juices and honey in a glass. Top with sparkling water and enjoy a refreshing vitamin C boost.

 

2. Ginger Zinger Fizz

 

 

Add a zing with some zest and enjoy this bubbly booster.

• • Ingredients: Fresh ginger, lemon juice, honey, sparkling water.
  • Method: Grate ginger and mix with lemon juice and honey. Add sparkling water for a spicy kick that fights inflammation.

 

3. Berry Boost Fizz

 

 

This antioxidant-rich drink is a winner. Sparkle it up with your nifty BIBO fizz. 

• • Ingredients: Mixed berry juice, lemon juice, honey
  • Method: Fizz up your berry juice and combine the lemon juice and honey.

 

4. Apple Cinnamon Fizz

 

 

A cozy, flavoursome flu-fighting fizz infusion – this spicy apple number will be a firm favourite.

• • Ingredients: Apple juice, cinnamon stick, honey, sparkling water.
  • Method: Heat apple juice with a cinnamon stick and honey. Let it cool, then add sparkling water.

 

5. Turmeric Tonic Fizz

 

 

This is an anti-inflammatory powerhouse is bursting with the flu fighting flavours.

• • Ingredients: Turmeric powder, ginger juice, honey, sparkling water.
  • Method: Mix turmeric and ginger juice with honey. Then don’t forget to add the sparkle.
